Mayo working with HSE over Covid cases ahead of Connacht SFC clash with Leitirm

Mayo boss James Horan may have to shuffle the deck for Sunday's Connacht SFC semi-final clash with Leitrim due to Covid cases.

The Mayo county board have issued a statement this morning to confirm that the football panel has a number of Covid-related issues and they are in touch with the HSE over the situation.

However Mayo chiefs are confident that the game will go ahead as scheduled.

"Mayo GAA are currently working with the HSE on a number of Covid-19 related queries amongst members of the County Senior Football panel," read a statement.

"Mayo GAA are following HSE guidelines and our Senior team are continuing their preparation for Sunday’s Connacht Championship game versus Leitrim."

Mayo got their championship off to a high-scoring start against Sligo a fortnight ago, with Aidan O'Shea scoring 2-2 in a 3-23 to 0-12 victory at Markievicz Park.
