Mayo v Leitrim team news: James Horan names seven Championship debutants

Mayo boss James Horan has named seven championship debutants in his side for Sunday's Connacht SFC against Leitrim.

Despite being relegated to Division 2 at the end of the National League campaign last weekend, Horan has been encouraged by the form of a number of young players who impressed in the heavy defeat of Galway the previous week.

The impressive Tommy Conroy will make his championship bow, along with Oisin Mullin, Rory Brickenden, Eoghan McLaughlin, Bryan Walsh, Ryan O’Donoghue and Jordan Flynn.

There are four changes from the starting line-up for last week's loss to Tyrone, with Kevin McLoughlin, Mark Moran, Diarmuid O’Connor and Darren Coen losing out with Rory Brickenden (centre-back), Ryan O’Donoghue (centre-forward), Jordan Flynn (wing-forward) and Cillian O’Connor (corner-forward) included.

Mayo: Clarke; Mullin, S Coen, Keegan; Durcan, Brickenden, McLaughlin; Ruane, Loftus; Walsh, O'Donoghue, Flynn; Conroy, O'Shea, C O'Connor.

Leitrim: B Flynn, Casey, Wrynn, Reynolds; Bruen, A Flynn, McGloin; Plunket, D Flynn; Dolan, Maguire, Gilheaney; Quinn, Sweeney, Beirne.
