Diarmuid O'Connor returns to captain Mayo in Championship football for the first time this weekend.
O’Connor missed the runaway opening round victory over New York due to injury but is restored to the team to face Roscommon in Saturday evening’s Connacht semi-final in Castlebar and is named to start at wing-forward.
His inclusion is one of three changes with Chris Barrett and Michael Plunkett coming into the defence as Colm Boyle, James McCormack and James Carr miss out.
Mayo have never lost a Connacht Championship game under James Horan but are looking to return to the provincial final for the first time since they last won the title in 2015.
Galway await the winners in the decider on June 16.
MAYO: R Hennelly; C Barrett, B Harrison, K Higgins; P Durcan, M Plunkett, L Keegan; M Ruane, A O’Shea; F Boland, J Doherty, D O'Connor (capt); E Regan, D Coen, K McLoughlin.
