Keith Barry claims to have lifted the Mayo curse ahead of the Westerners' All-Ireland final clash with Tyrone.
Mayo are hoping to lift the Sam Maguire for the first time in 70 years at Croke Park on Saturday evening and come into the game as favourites after beating Dublin at the semi-final stage.
The hypnotist, mentalist and magician says he has "cast a spell to lift the curse" ahead of the game and that James Horan's side will secure victory in the final minutes.
He tweeted: "It's been 70 years since Mayo lifted the Sam Maguire cup. It appears they needed a magician. So today I have cast a spell to lift the curse. Mayo will lift the cup today.
"Congrats in advance to Aidan and the gang! Mayo fans relax - It will happen in the final minutes! KB."
Barry's tweet comes after an Irish Mirror survey found that over 70% of peope don't believe in the Mayo curse.
In the survey of 390 people, 275 (71%) said they did not believe in the curse, while 248 (63%) believe the Westerners will end their 70-year drought and lift the Sam Maguire at Croke Park on Saturday, while 124 (32%) are favouring Tyrone and 21 (5%) opted for the draw.
The story of the so-called curse dates back to the last All-Ireland win for the Westerners in 1951.
The Mayo panel were travelling back west from Dublin along with the Sam Maguire after beating Meath and claiming the title.
According to the story, the team, travelling in the back of a truck, passed a funeral in the town of Foxford without paying their respects and stopping.
A curse was then supposedly put on them, which meant they would not win an All-Ireland again until every member of that team had died. The story claims that a priest or a woman put the curse on them.
Mayo have lost ten finals since that success, with legendary full-back Paddy Prendergast, 95, the only member of the 1951 team still alive.
Paddy's wife Irene recently told the Irish Mirror that he doesn't believe in 'that curse'.
She said: "It would give him greater satisfaction to see them do it and I tell you what we will celebrate if they win.
“Paddy has said they are a wonderful team and I’m sure they will make it.
“We talk every day about it and he says, ‘Maybe Mayo will do it this time, they are great footballers and if they are confident and don’t get rattled they can’.
“We are confident they will win on Saturday and of course we will have the champagne ready.”
