The speed limit on Edinburgh's Maybury Road has now been reduced, and police say they'll be carrying out checks to ensure people are complying.
The busy A902 is now a 30mph zone between the Barnton and Maybury junctions – the stretch of road which runs from Queensferry Road to Glasgow Road.
Police were using social media on Monday to remind road users that the new limit was now in place, and they'll be monitoring speeds in the area.
The new speed limit is being introduced due to the new housing development, with will contain 650 new homes, at Cammo. New pedestrian crossing points and cycle ways are also set to be introduced to the route as a result.
Edinburgh Police North West this week tweeted: "The speed restriction of 40mph has been replaced with a 30mph limit on the A902 Maybury Road from its junction with Queensferry Road at Barnton junction to Glasgow Road at Maybury junction. We will be carrying out regular speed checks in this area."
