Southampton's Tino Livramento has said he would be open to making a possible return to Chelsea in the future, despite only leaving the club this summer.
The 18-year-old made the move to the south coast after honing his craft in the Blues academy and despite his tender years he has made a major impression in the Premier League.
While Southampton have had a tough start to the campaign, Livramento has excelled at right-back, starting all seven games in the top flight for his new club.
The England youth international was rated highly at Stamford Bridge, but with Cesar Azpilicueta and Reece James available to manager Thomas Tuchel minutes were always going to be hard to come by for Livramento in his preferred right-back role.
Per the Daily Mirror, the teenager has said he knew he needed a move to get the football to develop.
"Regrets? It would have been nice to play a game but I had to think what was best for me," he said when asked if he regretted leaving Chelsea before representing the first team. "Being young I've always wanted to just play first team football as soon as possible.
"I feel like if I stayed there things wouldn't have happened as quickly as now. It was a hard decision for everyone involved. They agreed that it was best for me as well and they've always looked after me.
"I'll never have a bad word to say about how Chelsea treated me growing up and developing me into the player I am today. It's probably the best academy in the world that anyone would want to go to and develop."
Per the report, Livramento moved to Saints for around £5 million and it is rumoured that Chelsea do have the option to buy back the youngster for a fee of £25million.
With that in mind, if the full-back continues to perform at a high standard then there will surely be speculation over a possible return to the capital. Livramento said it's something he would consider.
"Maybe one day, but I'm just enjoying my football at the moment at Southampton, that's where my head's at right now," he said. "Just trying to pick up as many points as possible and improving individually."
While James is set for many more years at Chelsea, at 32 years old Azpilicueta is someone the Blues may have to consider replacing in the near future. When that time comes, Livramento's name will surely be mentioned.
