Maya Jama signs up for new TV series with Jack Whitehall after Love Island success

Maya Jama and Jack Whitehall have teamed up with Lawrence Dallaglio for a brand new series about what it really means to 'live Italian'.

The Love Island host, the comedian and Lawrence will be exploring Italian culture in the upcoming three-part series.

Airing on Prime Video, the show will see Jack, Maya and Lawrence document their journeys across Italy as they take a breather from their busy schedules to discover what it means to slow down and 'live Italian'.

Each episode will be 45 minutes long and will have each celebrity paired up with an Italian expert that will show them the best of the country.

According to the synopsis, the trio will be coming across 'pleasant and hilarious' surprises along the way.

The first episode stars Jack, who is paired up with Italian presenter Chiara Maci. They will be enjoying a culinary tour around Tuscany.

Unsurprisingly, Jack even gets to milk a cow so that he can learn how to make his very own gelato.

Episode two will follow the gorgeous Maya and singer and actress Lodovica Comello as they travel through Milan and Cremona.

Her episode will explore the role music plays in Italian culture.

The final episode will have Lawrence meet his match in former Italian rugby player Martin Castrogiovanni.

Speaking about the short series, Jack said: "Whilst I like to think that I’m always pretty easy-going, as someone that doesn’t like to sit still, the reality is life’s a bit chaotic.

"So, who better to learn how to relax and enjoy life’s simple pleasures than those famed for their love of long lunches, indulgent simple dishes and riposo’s?

"Live Italian was an inspiring and, at times, ‘interesting’ adventure, where I learnt how to disconnect and find pleasure in the smallest of things."

He added: "I can now officially confirm there’s truly nothing like being surrounded by empty Italian fields holding a cow’s udders in your hands, to make you feel grounded…dare I even say, zen. There’s certainly something to be said about harnessing your inner-Italian.”

Maya has been busy so busy with her endless deals that it's no surprise she joined the relaxation in Live Italian.

The star is currently flying between England and South Africa for her hosting duties on Love Island.

Birra Moretti’s ‘Live Italian’ is available on Prime Video from Friday, 10th March.
