Maya Jama shares glimpse of ‘beautiful’ BRIT Awards outfit as she prepares to host backstage show

Maya Jama has shared a sneak peak of her BRIT Awards outfit as she prepares to host the annual event tonight.

The Bristol born DJ and presenter is hosting the BRITs Backstage Show alongside Radio 1 DJ Clara Amfo.

In the lead up to the event Maya shared a selfie in the BRIT dressing rooms, looking glam in a sculpted mesh dress with flowers and curly hair.

Posting to her 603,000 Twitter followers, Maya captioned the picture "#brits dayyyyyy..."

She also shared a picture of the front page of a 'confidential' backstage camera script.

Both Maya Jama and Clara Amfo are no strangers to the BRIT Awards, with Maya having hosted the BRITs’ Facebook live stream from the red carpet in 2017, and Clara having hosted the BRITs Red Carpet show for the last four years.

Jack Whitehall is presenting the official ceremony, which will be broadcast live at 8pm, for the third year in a row.

The BRITS is the first live ceremony in the UK to go ahead with a live audience since the beginning of the pandemic, as part of the government’s research into how live events might work post-Covid.

4,000 guests will attend and won’t need to wear masks or be socially distanced, but will need a negative Covid test.

Most tickets - 2,500 of the 4,000 - have been given to key workers from London "to thank them for their remarkable hard work and selfless commitment".

The other 1,500 places have been allocated to the nominated artists, their managers and teams plus other members of the music industry and sponsors.

Dua Lipa, Headie One, Arlo Parks and Griff will be among the performers at the ceremony.

Arlo Parks and Dua Lipa have three nominations each, as do dance producer Joel Corry and grime duo Young T & Bugsey.

The BRIT Awards is broadcast live tonight on ITV at 8pm
