Maya Jama confirmed as new presenter for BBC's Glow Up after Stacey Dooley exit

Maya Jama has been confirmed as the new presenter for BBC’s Glow Up: Britain’s Next Make-Up Star.

The 26-year-old TV star will replace original host Stacey Dooley for the show’s third season.

The fun-filled reality TV series has been a huge hit for the BBC since it first kicked off in 2019, with Strictly Come Dancing winner Stacey having acted as the main face for the first two seasons.

The competition sees 10 budding makeup artists hoping to take the title as they navigate their way through various challenges.

After the former Strictly star announced her departure last year, producers went on the hunt for the perfect presenter replacement, and Maya was the frontrunner.

Lifting the lid on her exciting new hosting venture, the Bristol native said: "I absolutely love Glow Up and can't wait to join the family.

"I'm obsessed with makeup and creating different looks.

"It is going to be so much fun and I can't wait to see what the makeup artists get up to."

Maya will make her screen debut when the new series airs on BBC Three later this year.

Show bosses reckon the brunette bombshell will be a massive hit with viewers.

TV executive Fiona Campbell said: "It's brilliant to welcome Maya to the BBC Three family for Glow Up.

"She is an ideal choice as the new host with a long-standing interest and passion for the industry and we can't wait to see what she brings to the new series."
