Maya Jama attacks 'pathetic' news story linking her with 'random person'

Maya Jama has slammed the Daily Mail for appearing to link her with a model once dubbed 'Tinder's most liked man'.

The Radio 1 presenter, originally from Bristol, criticised the tabloid on Twitter for publishing an article about her on Saturday (January 4), reports the Daily Star.

The article stated that Jama, aged 25, left her workplace "with Tinder's most right-swiped man", Stefan-Pierre Tomlin, while a picture appeared to show the pair side by side.

Claiming the photo was doctored, Jama wrote: "This is pathetic - you've photoshopped me leaving my job today at Radio 1 alone with a random person leaving separately."

The original tweet garnered almost 70,000 likes, while another picked up a further 5,000.

Jama's second tweet stated: "Recently these papers have been obsessed with linking me to guys I haven’t even met or spoken to.

"They really can paint whatever narrative they like with or without the truth. Didn’t think they would go to lengths of photoshop though - it’s disgusting."

Jama has been single since splitting from rapper Stormzy in August last year, reports the Daily Star.

Stormzy appeared to admit cheating on Jama in his new song Lessons.

A section of the lyrics read: 'I done the dirt and then I figured that you'll dig it out.

'But that's a coward move, I guess you got me figured out.

'I know you'll never listen now.'

Stefan-Pierre Tomlin, a model, was the subject of an article in The Sun in 2017 reporting he had racked up more 'likes' on Tinder than any other user.
