'May as well give up!' - Nottingham Forest fans despair over latest injury update

Nottingham Forest fans are in meltdown after the club's latest injury update.

Sabri Lamouchi was quizzed on the fitness of his charges today ahead of the Championship clash with Cardiff City on Tuesday night (7.45pm).

The Reds could be without star striker Lewis Grabban (knee), while top midfielder Samba Sow (also knee) could still be sidelined.

Sammy Ameobi (hips) and Nuno da Costa (muscle) might miss out with the latter substituted after an hour of the goalless draw with Queens Park Rangers last time out.

Should Grabban, Sow and Ameobi miss the Cardiff clash that would provide Lamouchi with quite the headache, with the trio all playing the club's last win - a 2-0 defeat of Leeds United - and impressing greatly this season.

And fans are despondent about that prospect, with the club now six points behind Leeds in second following a run of three games.

Here's what they've had to say on social media...

@samgeorge1936: If none of the top 3 are fit we may as well give up.

@deblee_smith: All of our players are important but why does it have to be these?!

@NFFCRaz: We will struggle without Da Costa

@henjohansen1: Good thing we got in a quality striker and a winger in January... NOT!

@Stu_Smith_42: Without Sow and Grabban we'll really struggle.

@MartinBiddulph: But I thought we didn’t need to buy anyone else in January lol

@Craig74Davies: Not good...

@ScottHa26547799: We've been very lucky so far with injuries, late goals and other scores going our way, but this is where we see if the squad is good enough! Sow, grabban, ameobi out tomorrow = worried!!. #nffc

@95Redss: So we've got Yates to replace Sow, Diakhaby in for Ameobi and just Tyler Walker to hold the front line in place of Grabban and Da Costa. Excellent, not looking good for the next few games let's be honest #NFFC
