As the summer release of Maximum Football on PlayStation 5 approaches, the team is putting in the work to make sure the game hits the ground running. That means refining the gameplay experience and adding some long-awaited features in the 1.0 update.
One of those additions is weather—rain and snow are coming to the game. These effects will be purely cosmetic at first, but there are plans to bring weather that actually impacts gameplay later this year.
The team is also building a new playcalling system designed to bring more realism to CPU coaching. It aims to improve late-game decision-making, balance between running and passing and defensive adjustments. The system is already up and running internally, but it’s not quite ready for players.
Players will soon have more creative control, with new options to change the color of turf and stadium seats. Whether you’re going for a natural look or something bold and unique, there’ll be more ways than ever to make your team feel like your own.
