Maximum Football Franchise Mode Has Arrived

Franchise Mode is available now in Maximum Football for Xbox, PlayStation and Steam. The mode lets players shape their own football world with flexible league setups, whether they want a traditional 32-team layout, a smaller spring-style league or something entirely fictional. Nearly every rule can be customized, from overtime and kickoff formats to hash marks and scoring, giving players full control over how their universe plays out.

It also ties Dynasty Mode and Franchise Mode together. Players who rise through the college ranks in a dynasty will eventually move on to the pros as actual draft prospects, keeping both modes connected in a natural way. Even if the dynasty is years ahead, the game pulls in the right graduating class for each draft, helping the football world feel like it’s constantly moving forward.

Stadium management adds another layer to running a team. Instead of building new venues, players will upgrade what they have, adding amenities, adjusting ticket prices by seating tier and improving revenue through smart investments. Striking the right balance between keeping fans happy and keeping the finances healthy becomes a major part of long-term success.

Coaches in Franchise Mode come with key attributes like scouting, stability, player development, consistency, personality, reputation and strategy. As they level up, they can improve development skills that help cut down XP costs when upgrading certain player attributes. You can’t run every team yourself, but you can simulate or spectate any game and each season starts with a randomly generated schedule based on league size. Draft classes also scale to keep things balanced.

Spectating includes multiple camera angles, including a press box view for a broadcast-style look. Franchise also features a morale system shaped by salary, playing time, team results, stats and location, which can influence contract talks, trade requests and interactions through Max Social. Playoff formats vary depending on whether the league uses eight or 12 teams and those details can be found in the setup menu.

Franchise uses the same ticket system as Dynasty, requiring one ticket per season. Salary cap settings are fixed for now but may change with feedback. Injuries are more advanced, with multi-week recoveries, IR management and non-ball carrier injuries. While draft classes can’t be edited directly in Franchise, any edits made to seniors in a linked Dynasty will carry over.
