Maximum Football has officially exited Early Access on is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC through Steam. After spending time in Steam Early Access and Xbox Game Preview, the game has officially hit its 1.0 launch today.
Since first launching in Early Access, Maximum Football has steadily taken shape with help from a dedicated community. 1.0 brings new features along with several quality-of-life updates. As a free-to-play game, it keeps giving players the tools to customize and take full control of their football experience.
“Today’s launch is a major milestone for the team and our community,” said Philippe Cohen, CEO of Maximum Entertainment. “We’ve built this game together with our players, and now we’re thrilled to welcome the full console and PC experience to our audience.”
Maximum Football’s 1.0 launch kicks off with Season 3: Golden Era. Inspired by the tough, throwback style of 1930s and 1940s football, it brings a distinct look with vintage uniforms, leather helmets and old-school gear. Players can unlock two new stadiums, Old Glory Grounds and Victory Park, both designed to capture the feel of the era. It’s also the first season available on PlayStation 5, combining a classic aesthetic with modern gameplay.
The update adds more than just visuals. Dynamic weather with rain and snow now affects games and players can take advantage of expanded stadium customization along with the option to upload up to nine logos per team. The Season Pass includes both free and premium rewards, giving players more options to personalize their experience. Franchise Mode is on the way later this year and new seasons will continue to roll out.
