F1 star in the making Max Verstappen first burst onto the motor sport scene as a 17-year-old when he was signed by Red Bull in 2015, making his grid debut that season green and eager to impress in Australia.
The Red Bull driver became the youngest race winner in history when he won his first Grand Prix in 2016 in Barcelona.
The youngster has been previously branded as a talented but unpredictable driver, comments being made after the Dutchman's risky but effective approach to varying situations.
It has become clear over the past few seasons that Verstappen will be challenging for F1 world championships very soon.
With a deal that ran to 2019 the then 20-year-old opted to sign a three-year contract extension to his Red Bull deal in December 2017.
There was speculation that Verstappen was on the radar of Mercedes and Ferrari, who were circling in just his fourth full season in the sport.
Recently it was revealed that Verstappen is the fourth highest earner in Formula 1, currently on a contract worth £10m-a-year at Red Bull.
So, how does his salary compare?
Well, reigning world champion Lewis Hamilton currently earns the most of all driver's on the grid with Mercedes , reportedly taking home a whopping £40m-a-year.
Sebastian Vettel is the second highest earner with Ferrari , raking in £30.5m-a-year.
After his summer move to Renault , everyone's favourite Aussie, Daniel Ricciardo , signed a contract worth £26.5m-a-year.
Verstappen earns £3.5m more than Valtteri Bottas at Mercedes, who currently earns £6.5m-a-year.
The 21-year-old also earns an unbelievable 10 times the amount than his current Red Bull teammate Pierre Gasly .
