Max George has revealed he intends to ask girlfriend Stacey Giggs to be his wife following two years of blissful dating.
The 31-year-old boy band member reckons the former Mrs Ryan Giggs is “the one” and has shared his hopes to marry her and expand their family.
Stacey, 41, was married to football legend Ryan for ten years between 2007 and 2017 – with the marriage ending after the love rat sportsman cheated on Stacey with his own brother’s wife.
Max and Stacey embarked on a romance after being introduced by mutual friends in Manchester in 2018, with the singer moving in with Stacey and her two kids – daughter Liberty, 17, and son Zachary, 13 – soon after.
Now Max – who was a member of chart topping boy band The Wanted – has revealed he plans to get down on one knee to propose to his lover.
He told The Sun: “I’ve always said I’ve wanted kids but never committed to it in my own head but I think Stacey’s the one.
“We would love to add to the family at some point, that would be amazing. Obviously there are no guarantees but I’m sure we both feel the same way.”
Asked when he plans to tie-the-knot with the dark haired beauty, Max said: “She’d have to say yes first, we seem to be getting on all right.”
Max went on to describe Stacey as “the strongest person I’ve ever met” and is in awe of her ability to deal with the disgraceful way her ex-husband treated her by cheating on her.
He also gushed about bonding with her children after moving in with her and his two ‘stepchildren’.
Max said: We’re really close; we were close from day one. With me moving in with Stacey — because that was her family home — and the kids, you become such a tight unit. We are getting closer every day.”
Max was a member of The Wanted alongside bandmates Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness, Tom Parker and Nathan Sykes.
The group were formed in 2009 and went on indefinite hiatus in 2014 – but Max has teased a reunion may be on the cards.
