Max George's ex warns the 'serial flirter' could fall victim to Strictly curse

Max George's ex-girlfriend has warned the boyband star could fall victim to the Strictly curse because he's a "serial flirter".

The former The Wanted star, 32, has joined the line-up for the 2020 series of Strictly Come Dancing, but his ex Carrie Baker has said he needs to keep a lid on his flirting.

Max has been dating current girlfriend Stacey Giggs - the former wife of football legend Ryan Giggs - for two years, but Carrie fears the singer could be susceptible to the infamous curse.

Carrie Baker, who dated him for five years, told The Sun on Sunday : “I wouldn't like to be in her shoes.

“Everyone knows what Strictly is like - and I know what Max is like. He's a serial flirter.

“I thought I was going to marry him and have his children. I've never been in love like that and it broke my heart when he left. He handled it all wrong and people need to know the truth.”

However, Stacey says she has no concerns ahead of the show - and Max says they have a big future together.

He told The Sun: “I’ve always said I’ve wanted kids but never committed to it in my own head but I think Stacey’s the one.

“We would love to add to the family at some point, that would be amazing. Obviously there are no guarantees but I’m sure we both feel the same way.”

Asked when he plans to tie-the-knot with the dark haired beauty, Max said: “She’d have to say yes first, we seem to be getting on all right.”

Max went on to describe Stacey as “the strongest person I’ve ever met”.

The Strictly Curse has seen a number of couples break-up over the years.

Its most recent victims include dancer Katya Jones, who was married to Neil Jones, but split a year after she was pictured snogging her dance partner Seann Walsh in-between training sessions.
