The Wanted's Max George has finally responded to the bombshell claims that Meghan Markle sent him messages before she met her now husband Prince Harry .
Earlier this month, it was claimed that Meghan had swapped texts with Manc singer Max when she was 'single and looking for a British man.'
Meghan, 37, is alleged to have swapped text with Max, 30, at the time she allegedly tried to arrange a meeting with X Factor star Matt Cardle after her marriage brokedown.
As former boyband star Max appeared on Tueday's This Morning, hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield wasted no time in grilling him on the rumours.
"You've been texting Meghan?" asked Phil.
Shaking his head defiantly, Max replied: "I don't know where that came from."
When pressed further for details by Phil, Max insisted that nothing had happened between him and the now Duchess of Sussex.
"I don't know where [the rumours] came from," Max repeated. "I did read something over the weekend but I also read that she was looking for an Englishman. I don't know why they're doing this to her at the moment.
"There was nothing from my side," added Max.
"Was there from her side?" asked Phil.
"No, there wasn't," said Max.
A source previously claimed that Meghan had reached out to a number of celebrities in the UK following the breakdown of her marriage to first husband Trevor Engelson.
The insider claimed that at the time Max was getting so many messages from women that he'd forgot about Meghan until she was unveiled as Prince Harry's new girlfriend.
But Max has vehemently denied the claims.
Max previously dated Our Girl actress Michelle Keegan and is now happily coupled up with Ryan Gigg's ex-wife Stacey.
The pair have been dating for the past two months.
Speaking on This Morning about his new relationship, Max described Stacey as 'awesome.'
Max is currently back living in his hometown of Manchester and releasing new music as a solo artist but teased that he would still be up for a reunion with his The Wanted bandmates.
"I'd love to do something with them 100 per cent," admitted Max.
But for now, the singer is returning with his own tune Barcelona - after being mentored back into the business by US star Jason Derulo.
"When he was saying he believed in me I had to take that on board and I did," explained Max.
