Max and Dianne did a Simpsons dance on Strictly and people are asking what they just saw

Well Movie Night on Strictly saw some sights, but none so bemusing as Max and Dianne's  Simpsons-inspired couple's choice dance.

Professional Dianne Buswell and The Wanted singer Max George were decked out as the iconic yellow cartoon characters as their routine saw them wear giant Marge Simpson wigs and Homer's paunchy beer belly.

At one point Max even seemed to play saxophone using Dianne's leg in the street commercial routine.

The three judges were impressed, though, with Shirley Ballas revealing she loves the American cartoon.

"Well I'm a superfan of The Simpson's, go Homer, go Marge! You kept the timing up every step of the way.

"You performed it and you brought it to life!"

"Risky difficult, it was sort of a street Charleston and people are either going to love or hate it, and I loved it," added Craig Revel Horwood.

Viewers took to Twitter and shared their uncertainty about the performance - which got 24 points from the judges.

The couple, and their fellow Strictly dancers will find out who stays and who goes on tomorrow's results show at 7.25pm on BBC One.
