Max Allegri hints at Juventus exit as odds slashed on taking Chelsea job

Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegr i has hinted that he may be looking for a move away from the Italian club.

The 51-year-old has been heavily linked with the Chelsea in recent weeks, and his comments after Juventus’ 1-1 draw with Ajax on Wednesday evening have led to his odds on being the next Blues manager slashed from 12/1 to 4/1 by Paddy Power.

There has been growing interest about Allegri’s future in Italy, with the former AC Milan boss failing to commit to the Serie A leaders, and his latest comments will only add fuel to the fire.

Speaking after their draw in the Champions League on Wednesday night, Allegri said: "My future? A coach does not last forever."

Juventus, who could seal the league title at the weekend, are said to be anxious to tie Allegri down to the club, with his current contract set to expire in the summer of 2020.

Allegri had previously seemed keen to stay at Juventus. Speaking last month he said: “I would love to be compared to [Sir Alex] Ferguson, because it would mean staying for many years at Juve."

However, Wednesday’s comments will surely raise questions as to where his future lies, as the pressure remains on Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri.
