Maverick Carter spotted front row at Dodger Stadium for playoff game

Maverick Carter, the business manager for LeBron James since 2006, was sitting behind home plate during Game 5 of the NLDS in Los Angeles.

Carter reportedly moved to L.A. in 2015, three years before James signed with the Los Angeles Lakers. He has become increasingly recognizable since becoming one of the featured personalities on HBO’s The Shop. Carter is the co-founder and CEO of SpringHill Entertainment and Uninterrupted.

He and James have both maintained an interest in sports beyond basketball as the NBA superstar owns a minority stake in the Liverpool football club in the English Premier League. Carter has said that James wants to one day own an NFL team.

The businessman was one of several celebrities seen at Chavez Ravine. According to Arash Markazi of the Los Angeles Times, others in attendance included Fear of God fashion designer Jerry Lorenzo as well as musicians Diplo and Joe Jonas.

But it was especially hard to miss Carter for those watching the game on TBS. He was wearing a loud red jacket reminiscent of the one Michael Jackson wore in Thriller and was sitting almost directly behind home plate.

Some fans on Twitter noticed he was sitting less than a dozen seats away from iconic sports fan Laurence Leavy — better known as Marlins Man. We’ll update the post if the two somehow end up taking a selfie together.
