Maurizio Sarri unsure if Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga will be fit for EFL Cup final

Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga is an injury doubt for Sunday’s EFL Cup final against Manchester City.

Kepa, whose performances in Monday’s FA Cup defeat to Manchester United came under scrutiny, is carrying a hamstring injury that could see Willy Caballero called into start against his former club.

The Argentina international is set to come into the starting XI for Thursday’s Europa League clash against Malmo but could retain his place should Kepa not recover in time.

Elsewhere, full-back Davide Zappacosta is a doubt with illness ahead of Thursday’s second leg tie at Stamford Bridge while, winger Pedro has a stomach problem.

Maurizio Sarri is in desperate need of a positive result following a harrowing 6-0 defeat to Manchester City and FA Cup elimination at the hands of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.

But the under pressure Italian admits a packed fixture scheduled will not make that process any easier.

"It's not very easy because we have no time," Sarri said at a press conference on Wednesday.

"We're trying to solve our problems. It's not easy. We're trying to talk with the players, trying to avoid some mistakes by video.

"It's not easy, because we have to play every three days, so on the pitch we have no time."
