Maurizio Sarri tipped to leave for Juventus with Frank Lampard becoming Chelsea manager

Maurizio Sarri is backed to leave Chelsea this summer to seal a return to Italian football, joining Juventus.

The Serie A champions are seeking a new boss to take charge after confirming Massimiliano Allegri will be leaving Turin and Sarri is the favourite to take the reigns.

His future at Stamford Bridge remains sketchy despite leading the Blues to a top-four finish in the Premier League as well as Europa League glory, beating London rivals Arsenal 4-1 in Baku.

That could give the former Napoli boss a perfect goodbye, as Betfair now places him as odds-on to take charge of Juventus - despite being just 16/1 when the news of Allegri’s departure was announced.

Should Sarri leave the Blues, a familiar face is expected to return to Stamford Bridge as Chelsea legend Frank Lampard is 1/4 to take charge of the club where he spent the vast majority of his career.

Lampard has enjoyed a fine first campaign in management, guiding Derby County to the Championship play-off final - where they saw their hopes of promotion to the Premier League ended by Aston Villa.

Departing Juventus boss Allegri is the second-favourite for the post, while Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo is 14/1 to move to Stamford Bridge after guiding his side to a seventh-place finish and a spot in the qualifying stages of the Europa League.
