Maurizio Sarri slams Chelsea stars as Blues lose unbeaten record to Tottenham

Maurizio Sarri laid into his players after Chelsea were beaten 3-1 in the London derby against Tottenham and claimed he did not like any of his players' performances.

Goals from Dele Alli, Harry Kane and Heung-min Son gave the home side a deserved lead before Olivier Giroud grabbed a late consolation.

But it was a dominant performance from Mauricio Pochettino's side and in truth, if it wasn't for Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, the scoreline could have been far worse.

And Sarri was under no illusions about the poor performance delivered by his side as they lost for the first time under the Italian.

"I am disappointed because we played very badly," Sarri told BBC Match of the Day.

"I think we played very badly in all directions - physically, mentally, technically and tactically.

"I knew we had some problems and with this performance today it was clear to everybody we have problems to solve.

"I think in the last three or four matches we have started not really very well."

Sarri chose to start Mateo Kovacic over Ross Barkley despite concerns over the Croatian's fitness before the game.

Indeed, Kovacic was withdrawn after 58 minutes as Barkley came on to make an impact from the bench.

But when asked if he was impressed with the England international's performance, a sombre Sarri bluntly replied: "No. Today I didn't like anybody."
