Maurizio Sarri set for Juventus as players told Chelsea boss 'will be next manager'

Juventus' players have reportedly been told that Maurizio Sarri will take over this summer.

The Italian is coming to an end of his first season at Chelsea and has guided the club to a top four finish and the Europa League final.

But that may not be enough to keep his job with the final against Arsenal in Baku tipped to be his last match in charge.

The Mail reports Sarri will head back to Italy after just one season in the Premier League and take over the Serie A champions.

Juve have been on the lookout for a new manager after Max Allegri confirmed his departure after guiding the club to an eighth successive Serie A crown.

Sarri is said to be tempted by the prospect of taking over with the players told to expect him to be in charge next season.

The news comes after images emerged, appearing to show Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck meeting with Juventus chief Andrea Agnelli ahead of the Europa League final.

Chelsea legend Frank Lampard has reportedly been identified as a first-choice replacement for Sarri, if he does in fact return to Italy.

Sarri could end his Chelsea tenure with victory against Arsenal, which would secure his first trophy since winning Coppa Italia Serie D 16 years ago.

Speaking ahead of the clash, Sarri was asked about the speculation linking him with Juventus.

He said: "I want to think only to the final. I have a contract then for two years. Now is not the moment. Our feeling is that we want to win.

"I am really very happy. I have to consider it for the future. I have to consider that I love English football and the Premier League."
