Matthijs de Ligt is poised to make his Juventus debut against Tottenham Hotspur, Maurizio Sarri has confirmed.
The Netherlands international, who was linked with Barcelona, PSG as well as Manchester United, is a recent arrival for the Serie A champions having completed £67.5m transfer from Ajax during the week.
Having featured in this summer UEFA Nations League tournament, the teenager is short of match fitness but that won't stop him from featuring against the Premier League outfit tomorrow afternoon (UK time) at The National Stadium in Singapore.
"So far he hasn’t trained with his teammates," Sarri said, as per Football Italia . "He’ll certainly play part of the game though.
"We need to work to find the identity of our game, because we want to become a team with a strong identity.
"Then we’ll try and ensure that leads us to win.
"We’re behind Tottenham [in terms of pre-season preparations] but tomorrow night I want to see a team with the right mentality.
"Nothing has changed with regards to my approach to training since coming here, I still want to have fun, because I think that allows you to give more.
"The first 70 metres on the pitch has to be what I want but in the last 30 it's up to them."
The last time de Ligt faced Spurs it didn't end well for the Dutchman.
It was only a couple of months ago in the Champions League semi-final second leg when Lucas Moura's dramatic injury time goal send the Lilywhites into the final at Ajax's expense.
Spurs fans will remember that de Ligt lost a one v one duel against Fernando Llorente in the build up to the Brazilian's third of the night.
De Ligt is one of three players who could make their Juventus bows against Spurs, while Gianluigi Buffon could feature after sealing his return to Turin earlier in the month.
Former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot - previously linked with a move to north London - has been named in the tour squad alongside fellow new arrival Merih Demiral.
Furthermore, ex-Arsenal duo Stephy Mavididi is also in line to get some minutes as is Wojciech Szczesny, but Aaron Ramsey hasn't travelled due to injury.
