Chelsea have been handed a blow in their push for a top-four spot and a Europa League final place after N'Golo Kante was ruled out of the club's final two games with a hamstring injury.

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri confirmed the midfielder is unlikely to feature in the Blues' Europa League semi-final second-leg clash against Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday night or their final Premier League game of the season.

The Blues are away to Leicester next Sunday.

Kante picked up the hamstring injury in the early stages of Chelsea's 3-0 win over Watford at Stamford Bridge, and was subsequently replaced by Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

His replacement went on to open the scoring with a header from Eden Hazard's cross in the 48th minute.

Speaking to reporters after the victory on Sunday, Sarri said of Kante's potential return from injury: "I don't know. We have to wait until tomorrow morning, I think.

"But, I think, it's very difficult to recover him for the next two matches. But we want to play in the final, so he's lucky. We have to try and recover him for the final in case (we get there)."
