Maurizio Sarri hints at the 'wonderful' striker the Chelsea boss has been keeping his eye on

Chelsea squeezed their way into the semi-final of the Europa League last night and Maurizio Sarri hinted that he has been keeping his eye on one striker this season.

The Blues will take on Eintracht Frankfurt in the final four of the competition after their win over Benfica, with Frankfurt's front man Luka Jovic being one of the key men of the campaign.

Jovic has netted eight times in the European competition, with the 21-year-old having also begged 17 Bundesliga goals so far for Frankfurt, and has caught the eye of many clubs, including Barcelona.

Chelsea are still waiting to hear the verdict of their appeal from the impending transfer ban and at present will be unable to register new players for two windows.

However, if it does get overturned by the FIFA Appeals Committee, then Sarri certainly likes what he sees from 'wonderful' Jovic.

"To win it [Europa League] will be very difficult, of course. We need to think to the semi-final, we need to study our opponents. We want to get to the final. We want to win the competition of course, but it will be difficult.

"Eintracht are a great team with a wonderful striker, Jovic. In the other semi-final [Arsenal vs Valencia] there are two very good teams. I am not happy Napoli are out.

"If the final was Chelsea vs Napoli I am sure at the end of the match I am really very happy. So I am not happy with that result.

"For me I think it is very important to play the final. This time I don't want to just play the final, I want to win."
