Maurizio Sarri delivers update on Aaron Ramsey's Juventus career amid claims of summer exit

Maurizio Sarri has addressed rumours surrounding Aaron Ramsey's future at Juventus following rumours that he would leave this summer.

The Welshman only joined the Italian champions last summer but  Calciomercato reported he could leave at the end of this season. Ramsey signed a contract until 2023 and has played 19 games so far this season.

Joining the club with a thigh injury sustained in Arsenal's Europa League quarter-final tie with Napoli in April 2019, Ramsey wasn't able to make his debut until September 18.

Despite this, he has shown flashes of brilliance both in Serie A and the Champions league and Sarri ensured that he is steadily growing more comfortable in his surroundings.

"Aaron Ramsey is growing both as a condition and a belief. It was not easy for him to adapt, coming from the Premier and from a bad injury." the Italian said in his pre-match press conference ahead of AC Milan.

Suffering four separate injuries since arriving in Turin, the 29-year-old has struggled to get consistent game time. These injuries were located on his back and adductor as well as a stress response to a bone which kept him out for a total of 50 days.

As a result he has started just six Serie A games this season. Still getting back into the groove of playing, his last start came on January 19 against Parma although he was substituted after an hour.

Since then he has come off the bench for a combined 45 minutes against Roma and Verona.

Following Sarri's update, however, Ramsey may still have a chance to have an influence on the Italian title race as the business end of the season beckons.

Juventus currently sit second with goal difference the only thing separating themselves and Inter Milan who took top spot with an impressive 4-2 victory over AC Milan.

Juve have won the last eight Serie A titles in a row, with AC Milan the last other team to lift the trophy in 2010/11.

The Bianchoneri's next game sees them travel to the San Siro where they will play AC Milan in the first leg of the Coppa Italia which they last won in the 2017/18 season.
