Maurizio Sarri admits N'Golo Kante gamble for Chelsea vs Arsenal Europa League Final

Chelsea boss Maurizo Sarri says he does “not know” how fit N’Golo Kante is after naming the midfielder in his starting XI for tonight’s Europa League final against Arsenal.

Kante was considered a major doubt ahead of kick-off having twisted his knee in training on Saturday.

Sarri has selected him to start in midfield alongside Jorginho and Matteo Kovacic against the Gunners but suggested in his pre-match interview in BT Sport he is unsure how long his star midfielder will last.

"We don’t know, we are trying. He was better this morning. We are not sure at the moment. We try during the warm-up," Sarri said.

Sarri rated his midfielder’s chances of featuring on Wednesday night as ’50-50’ when speaking to the press on Tuesday.

Ross Barkley, named among the Chelsea subs in Baku tonight, trained with the main group in the final warm-up ahead of kick-off.
