Mauricio Pochettino unsure over Mousa Dembele knock as Tottenham injury list lengthens

Tottenham will tomorrow learn the extent of Mousa Dembele’s ankle injury after the midfielder limped off against Wolves.

Dembele, 31, was making his 250th appearance for Spurs but lasted just six minutes before a coming together with Helder Costa forced Mauricio Pochettino into an early change.

Spurs are already without two midfield options in Victor Wanyama (knee) and Eric Dier (thigh) with the Belgium international to be assessed on Sunday.

We need to assess him,” Pochettino told Sky Sports post-match. “We need to hope that it’s not a massive issue, but we need to assess him."

Spurs are back in action against PSV Eindhoven in a must-win Champions League clash on Tuesday in what will be their fourth game in eight days.

Erik Lamela, Lucas Moura and Harry Kane were on the score sheet as Spurs took a three goal lead at Molineux on Saturday but two penalties for Wolves provided a nervy ending for the north London side.
