Mauricio Pochettino believes Gareth Bale is in talks to leave Real Madrid for a new challenge this summer.
However, the Tottenham Hotspur manager remains uncertain over whether his club are at the negotiation table to sign the Welshman.
Speaking after a 3-2 win over Juventus in Singapore as part of the International Champions Cup pre-season competition, the Argentinian was asked signing the four-time Champions League winner.
Bale moved to Real Madrid in 2013 to become, at the time, the most expensive player of all time.
He scored 55 goals in 202 appearances for Spurs with 26 of those strikes coming in 44 games during his final season at White Hart Lane.
"I saw in the media but I do not know which club is working to try to sign him," said Pochettino.
"At the moment I do not have any information from my chairman.
"I don’t know if it is us or another club. It is not my job.
"It is the job of my chairman who is trying to build the best possible squad."
Spurs have already broken their own club record by signing Tanguy Ndombele this summer but are expected to make further additions to the squad before the close of the transfer window.
Real Betis midfielder Giovani Lo Celso could still arrive while it remains uncertain how Bale would fit into the wage structure at Hotspur Way.
