The future of Christian Eriksen at Tottenham remains uncertain, amid links with Real Madrid and Manchester United over the course of the summer.
The Danish international has been heavily linked with a move away from Tottenham this summer, after admitting that it could be time for a new challenge, putting his future in north London in doubt.
Eriksen, 27, said that he hoped a resolution would be found this summer, with Real Madrid named among the potential suitors for the former Ajax man.
Speaking to Danish publication, Ekstra Bladet, he said: “I feel that I am a place in my career where I might want to try something new.
“I have the wildest and deepest respect for everything that has happened at Tottenham – I will not be negative. But I have also said that I would like to try something new.
“I hope there will be a resolution during the summer. That’s the plan."
But with less than one month to go in the transfer window, there has been no movement as yet with regards to his future, with Real Madrid signing Eden Hazard from Chelsea and the future of Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba still unclear.
Pogba has been linked with Real Madrid after Marca reported that Zinedine Zidane wanted to sign the Frenchman, and not Eriksen, with the Dane linked with United as a potential replacement for the World Cup winner, should he leave.
However, there has been no further movement on that situation as yet, meaning that the futures of Pogba and Eriksen remain up in the air with just under four weeks until the new Premier League season.
And Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino admits that he hopes that Eriksen remains at Tottenham next season.
But the Argentine has not ruled out the possibility of Eriksen leaving before the end of the transfer window.
“I hope he is. I think he is a great player, Christian. One of the biggest talents in football," Pochettino said, speaking as a guest at the British Grand Prix.
"After five years working with him, I am sure in the way that he plays, and I hope yes.
“But you know, there is a lot of interest. I hope yes, but I don’t know what is going to happen with that.”
