Paris Saint-Germain sent a stark warning to Manchester City and other Champions League contenders last night - but there is even more to come from Lionel Messi and co.
That's the message from PSG coach Mauricio Pochettino after watching his star-studded team claim a 2-0 victory over the Premier League champions.
Idrissa Gueye and that man Messi were on target against City in the Group A clash at the Parc des Princes.
Indeed, it was the first time the Barcelona great had netted in a PSG shirt since a high-profile summer move from the Catalan giants.
Messi was teed-up for that second-half strike by Kylian Mbappe, who also had a hand in the opener.
Alarmingly, however, Pochettino insisted after the game that the new outright favourites for Champions League glory have more in the tank.
He said: "Today [last night] was a Champions League game against Man City, we knew that we needed to be solid. Over time we will improve and we will get better at different aspects, but very happy overall.
"We can do [play as a team], we show that we want to be united, to work together, the quality's there, we have amazing quality, amazing players. The challenge is we all work in both phases of the game with the same capacity to suffer. We showed belief and start to see a team that can work together not only offensive, but defensive too."

Pochettino added: "I think it was amazing [Messi's goal]. It was an amazing performance and an amazing goal.
"He's the best player in the world, no doubt, and of course I'm happy to see him enjoying football, him and all the team worked really really hard to get the victory.
"It's never easy against one of the best teams in the world like Manchester City, that is why we are so happy."
