Daniel Levy and the Tottenham Hotspur board have been set four key questions by the club's supporters trust after the sacking of Mauricio Pochettino.
In a statement published on their official website, the board of the Tottenham Hotspur Supporters Trust responded to the shock dismissal of the Argentinian.
After leading Spurs to a Champions League final last season the former Espanyol and Southampton manager must now seek other opportunities after a poor start to his sixth campaign in charge.
Tottenham are currently ranked 14th in the Premier League after 12 games played. A Champions League group stage loss to Bayern Munich also handed the club their worst-ever home defeat as the Bavarians ran out of 7-2 winners at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Despite leading Spurs to four top four finishes, and challenging for the Premier League title, Pochettino failed to win a single trophy during his time in charge of Spurs.
In their message following the decision the Tottenham Hotspur Supporters Trust accepted that results this season had not been good enough but had points to raise with Levy and the club.
The full message can be found on their official website with key excerpts below on the questions left for Spurs to answer: "The club's statement makes it clear the board has decided to sack the manager and coaching staff. It is their decision.
"We question why this decision was taken at the end, rather than the beginning, of the international break. We question whether the timing of the decision leaves the club with much choice in who takes over.
"To take the decision it has, the board must have a clear plan for what and who comes next. It needs to tell this club's supporters what that plan is. And the board also needs to consider its own role in this.
"Is the manager solely accountable? How much has the Board's line on wages and transfers contributed to player unrest and disaffection?
"How much did it contribute to the situation we now find ourselves in? And will it change to help support a new manager?"
Jose Mourinho has emerged as the early front-runner to replace Pochettino.
The ex-Chelsea, Inter, Porto and Real Madrid manager has been out of work since he was sacked by Manchester United in 2018.
