Mauricio Pochettino's response when asked if he will quit if Tottenham beat Liverpool

Mauricio Pochettino performed a European miracle as Tottenham secured their place in the Champions League final.

Spurs fought back from 3-0 down on aggregate against Ajax to set up an all-English showdown with Liverpool in Madrid next month.

Pochettino's men trailed 1-0 from the first leg in north London before goals from Matthijs de Ligt and Hakim Ziyech had Ajax on course for the final.

But Lucas Moura's stunning hat-trick sent Spurs though to spark wild scenes on the pitch and on the touchline.

Speaking ahead of the clash, Pochettino admitted he could quit if Spurs went onto win the Champions League.

“Winning the Champions League? It should be fantastic, no? Close the five year chapter and go home," he said.

The Argentine claimed it would be a "miracle" if Spurs won the trophy but now they are just one game away from doing so.

Pochettino was asked the question following the stunning victory, which had reduced him to tears at the final whistle.

He was asked by beIN Sports: "You're not really going to quit Tottenham are you?" before responding: "We'll see."

What Mauricio Pochettino told Tottenham players about Liverpool before Ajax comeback

Spurs will now face Liverpool in the final and Pochettino branded his players superheroes.

“They are all heroes but [Lucas Moura] was a superhero. For him, scoring a hat-trick. He is a super, super superhero. He was very clinical in front of goal, a machine.

“To get the club to the Champions League final is almost a miracle. This is one of the most important nights of my life.

"I want to remember my family. It's amazing to reward them. We need to be ready for the next game on Sunday then prepare for the final."
