The Spurs duo who could provide Mauricio Pochettino a welcome boost ahead of Man City clash

Mauricio Pochettino looks set to make a late decision on two key players as attention turns to Wednesday's Champions League clash.

Tottenham travel to the Etihad Stadium in their decisive Champions League quarter final tie.

The north London side were able to rest a number of players as they swept Huddersfield aside with a 4-0 victory in the Premier League, but will be hoping to have a near-full strength side available.

Spurs were without England pair Harry Winks and Dele Alli for the clash with the Terriers, but speaking after the game Pochettino said that there was still a chance that they could travel.

Asked about Harry Winks, he said: "It's the same as in the past.

The bold claim made by Pep Guardiola ahead of Tottenham's Champions League tie with Man City

"He was training yesterday and the middle of training started to feel it again something painful in his groin.

"He's a player we need to assess tomorrow, and then after tomorrow take a decision. It's a similar situation, it's not a big issue but it's an issue that maybe not allowed to play or not going to be in condition to play Wednesday.

"We need to assess. We are optimistic, but you know there is doubt."

Spurs given big Champions League boost as Pep Guardiola reveals injury concerns over key player

Dele Alli is another player who is doubtful for the clash with Man City.

The England international missed the 4-0 victory over Huddersfield Town with a broken hand, and Pochettino says that he's not sure whether he'll be fit for the trip to the Etihad Stadium.

We'll see because we are not sure. He is doing some training sessions with protection, he needs to feel comfortable. It is a little bit painful because he broke his hand in two different places. It all depends on the time, we will see if we arrive in a position where he is comfortable to play. We'll see, today is difficult to know."
