Mauricio Pochettino leads jubilant Tottenham celebrations in the Etihad changing room

Mauricio Pochettino lead Tottenham's tubthumping celebrations in the changing room after taking the club to their first Champions League semi-final and first in Europe for 57 years.

A dramatic away goals win over Manchester City saw Spurs set up a semi-final clash with Ajax after VAR ruled out a late Raheem Sterling winner in one of the most exhilarating games the competition has ever seen.

Pochettino celebrated wildly with staff and players at full time and continued that outpouring in the away dressing room at the Etihad, bursting in fist-pumping and slamming the whiteboard as the players celebrated with a chant of 'Oh Moussa Sissoko".

The Spurs midfielder was forced off injured in the first half and made his way down the tunnel as Sterling scored what looked to be the goal to send City through.

It wasn't until a member of Tottenham staff came into the changing room that the Frenchman discovered they had booked a place in the Champions League last four.

After cooling down a little, Pochettino said of his players: "I think they are heroes. All that happened this season, the circumstances, to be in the semi-final of the Champions League, they deserve a lot of praise and big rewards."
