Mauricio Pochettino jokes about lack of Tottenham silverware at London Football Awards

Mauricio Pochettino poked fun at his lack of silverware when collecting his award for Premier League Manager of the Year at the London Football Awards.

The Tottenham boss beat Charlton's Lee Bowyer, Watford's Javi Gracia, Arsenal Women's Joe Montemurro and Chelsea's Maurizio Sarri to pick up the award for the first time.

Pochettino has been the best-performing manager in London both this season and last, guided Tottenham to third place last season and the same position this term.

Still, a first trophy as a manager continues to elude Pochettino and the Argentine was the first to point that out at the podium.

He said: "Finally, I win a trophy."

Tottenham's search for a first trophy as a team continues over the next week as Arsenal visit in the Premier League before Spurs travel to Dortmund for the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie.

Elsewhere on the night, Heung-min Son picked up Player of the Year and West Ham's Declan Rice was named Young Player of the Year.
