Mauricio Pochettino says that Gareth Bale is a "magnificent footballer" and Sergio Reguilon has "great potential" ahead of their transfers from Real Madrid to Tottenham.
Spurs are set to seal a permanent deal for Reguilon from Real for a fee in the region of £27million, though the Spanish club will retain a buy-back option for two years worth around £10million more than the initial fee.
And former Spurs star Bale is also set to pun pen-to-paper on a loan move back to North London following a tumultuous couple of years in the Spanish capital following a fall-out with Real boss Zinedine Zidane.
Spurs fans are practically giddy at the prospect of completing deals for the duo, who have been tracked by a number of clubs across Europe including the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea.
And former Tottenham manager Pochettino has given a glowing recommendation on the duo, who are all set to light up the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this season.
"I think Gareth Bale is a magnificent footballer," Pochettino told COPE. "He has won four Champions Leagues, there is no doubt he is a great player.
"Sergio Reguilon has great potential and will continue to grow."
football.london understands that Spurs are hoping to conclude both deals on Friday ahead of the weekend's clash against Southampton, though it is unlikely either will be allowed to represent Spurs in the clash at St Mary's - another former stomping ground for Bale.
Players must be registered with the Premier League before 12pm on Friday if the club wishes for them to participate in matches over the weekend.
