Mauricio Pochettino gives injury updates on Moussa Sissoko and Erik Lamela ahead of West Ham

Tottenham will still be without several key players, including Moussa Sissoko, Erik Lamela and Harry Kane, for the visit of West Ham tomorrow (Saturday).

The Hammers are the visitors to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as Spurs look to continue their push for a top four spot, with Mauricio Pochettino's men currently sitting third in the Premier League, three points ahead of Chelsea in fourth.

But Spurs will continue to be without a number of key men for the London derby, with Sissoko (groin) and Lamela (hamstring) both continuing on-field rehabilitation, along with Harry Winks (groin) and Serge Aurier (hamstring).

In addition, Harry Kane is undergoing rehabilitation on his ankle injury, which continues to rule him out.

But Pochettino says he is hopeful that some of the players will be able to return before the end of the season, including Sissoko.

"I think we need to assess day by day, Moussa the same as other injured players," he said.

" I hope as soon as possible before the end of the season he will be available again. Each for the next better than the next. Now it’s not too much time but hope his evolution and his rehab, he’s doing well. Hope as soon as possible can reintegrate with the team."

In addition to the three remaining games in the Premier League, Spurs face Ajax in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final on Tuesday, with the return leg in Holland eight days later.

And Pochettino says that with all Spurs have to play for, that is the motivation for the likes of Winks, Kane and Aurier to try and get back to fitness as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, Pochettino also spoke of his disappointment for Lamela, who has missed large chunks of the season, with the latest setback for the Argentine being a hamstring injury.

“We feel the same. Him, his family, us. We feel very sad about his situation today," said the Spurs boss.

"He is disappointed, we are disappointed. We can only be strong, try to find solutions and be open to improve, try to be fit and help the team. In the most important period of the season, when you need all the squad fit to achieve what you want, it’s hard to have him out of the squad.
