Mauricio Pochettino contract info revealed as Jurgen Klopp release clause emerges

Juventus are in the market for a new boss after parting with Massimiliano Allegri.

Two names that have been linked with the job are Liverpool and Tottenham managers Jurgen Klopp and Mauricio Pochettino respectively.

It is very, very unlikely the former would leave Anfield for Juventus given what he has achieved so far and what he could still achieve in the future in Liverpool.

It is also unlikely Pochettino will leave Spurs for the Turin-based club, should they indeed come calling, although the Argentine's cousin has talked up the possibility.

Speaking to Tutto Juve, Pochettino's cousin Daniele said: "In my opinion [Pochettino replacing Allegri] could be feasible, because Mauricio is a coach who has shown he knows how to work well and reaching the final with Tottenham is a clear example.

"If he plays it like he does all games, for me it's the right year to win. I met him a few months ago, I met a very nice and helpful person.

"The Bianconeri's goal is, of course, the Champions League and my cousin has all the useful qualities to be able to coach this club.

"Mauricio showed he had the right experience to be able to coach in Europe. With Tottenham he was able to forge a group of individuals that was not so well known."

Tuttosport reports that Klopp currently earns around £7million-a-season at Anfield and will do so until 2022.

The Italian publication adds that Klopp's contract does however include a £32million release clause, which can be triggered by interested clubs.

Spurs manager Pochettino, meanwhile, is contracted until 2023 at Tottenham, where he earns £8.5million-a-season, as reported by The Times.

But unlike Klopp, Pochettino's contract contains no release clause.
