Mauricio Pochettino has been handed a huge injury boost with the news that Eric Dier and Victor Wanyama will be fit for the clash with Aston Villa.
Both players have been on the sidelines during pre-season, and while match sharpness is likely to be limited, the pair could both be in contention for the Premier League opener.
Ben Davies could also feature after returning to training following surgery on a groin injury.
Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso are also in contention for the clash in north London after joining Spurs during the summer transfer window.
Both players are fully fit and it'll be interesting to see how Pochettino goes about integrating the duo into his side.
One new addition who will miss out is Ryan Sessegnon.
The 19-year-old has been suffering with a hamstring injury which he picked up on international duty with England under-21s.
It remains to be seen how long Sessegnon will be out for, however the former Fulham man is undergoing assessment and working through a rehabilitation programme.
Another player who will miss out is midfielder Dele Alli.
The England international is progressing with his rehabilitation after suffering a hamstring injury, but won't be fit in time for the clash with Dean Smith's side.
