Maurice Jones-Drew perfectly predicted the Jaguars comeback

Former Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew picked the Los Angeles Chargers to win Saturday night, although there’s really no question where his loyalties truly lie.

With the Chargers leading 27-7 at halftime against the Jaguars, Jones-Drew offered a different prediction Saturday for how the rest of the game would shake out. It couldn’t have been more accurate.

“The most Charger thing to do is to allow the Jaguars back in the game in the second half and they win on a last-second field goal,” Jones-Drew said into the NFL Network cameras just before 10 p.m. ET.

The Chargers did exactly that, getting outscored by the Jaguars 24-3 in the second half. And just like Jones-Drew predicted, a last-second field goal from Jacksonville’s Riley Patterson gave the team its only lead of the night.

Jones-Drew has been picking against the Jaguars for more than a month now to give the team a little counter-jinx magic. On Saturday, he showed he can also pull out the crystal ball and give a real prediction of what Jacksonville can accomplish.
