Maura Higgins 'upset' in meeting with Dancing on Ice partner after Curtis Pritchard split

Maura Higgins was seen looking upset as she met up with her Dancing on Ice partner the day after her split from Curtis Pritchard was announced.

The Love Island babe, 29, was seen with Alexander Demetriou at the Riverside centre in Chelmsford yesterday, which is a short drive from her Essex home.

An onlooker said Maura seemed emotional and "upset" during their conversation, which comes after they were voted out of Dancing on Ice last month.

The meet-up came just hours after Maura confirmed her eight-month relationship with Curtis, 24, has come to an end because they "couldn't make it work" .

A source told The Sun : "Maura seemed upset and was deep in conversation with Alex over coffees in the cafe.

"It's an unlikely place to see a star, but there is an ice-skating rink there so I imagine they were there for a skate."

Mirror Online has contacted Maura's reps for comment.

In February it was claimed that Alexander's wife Carlotta was jealous of his close relationship with Maura.

The report claimed Carlotta was worried about Maura's "motives" and if she'd "turned her husband's head".

But Curtis said he "wasn't worried" in any way about their relationship because dance partners need to have a "good connection".

Maura confirmed she'd split from Curtis in a statement she posted to her Instagram stories.

She wrote: "Curtis and I have made the decision to separate. We enjoyed a great experience from our time in the villa and want to thank everyone for supporting our relationship.

"There is no easy way to get through a breakup and no bad feeling on either side.

"We tried to make it work but it wasn't to be and I wish Curtis nothing but the best for the future."
