Maura Higgins reveals why she snubbed Dancing with the Stars for Dancing on Ice

Maura Higgins has revealed she turned down the opportunity to go on Dancing with the Stars.

The Love Island 2019 star has recently been announced as a contestant for ITV's Dancing on Ice.

And the Longford woman, 28, has said her busy schedule is the main reason she won't be appearing on the RTE entertainment show.

She said: "I was asked to give them a call but you know what so many things come around and I can’t take everything can I?"

"I’m only human I can only do so much I’m happy that I’m doing Dancing on Ice, so yeah.”

Maura, a brand ambassador for Boohoo, left the villa in July alongside Curtis Pritchard.

Speaking on Thursday, she told how her love for Curtis will make her find time to look after their relationship, despite her full-on schedule.

She said: "He’s very supportive. I don’t think it’s going to be hard. We’re both busy but we both make time to see each other.

“I’m not finding it hard and he’s not finding it hard, we see each other when we can and things are really good.

“If you love someone you make time for them and that’s exactly what we’re doing.”
