Maura Higgins reveals that she missed Dairygold butter while she was in Love Island villa

Love Island star Maura Higgins has revealed that she missed Dairygold butter while she was in the villa.

The Longford beauty says that she missed some of her home comforts while stealing the show on the hit-reality show.

Speaking to the Irish Mirror, Maura said: "Do you know what? I really missed Dairygold butter; I really, really did.

"On my cheese toasties, I was like 'Oh my god, this butter is so sh*t. I need my Dairygold!'"

Maura — who came fourth with Curtis Prichard - has also revealed that her family have no filter when it comes to talking about getting busy beneath the sheets.

The Longford model revealed that she often had sex in her family home and told her mum all the details the next day.

The Ballymahon native, who was championed for her sex talk in the villa added that she was shocked by how little others liked to talk about the subject.

Speaking to Irish Mirror about her open relationship with her parents, she said: “Yeah yeah I can talk to my mother about everything so I’d never be afraid to talk about sex. And when I’m talking about sex in the villla I was so surprised about people’s reactions they were very shocked.

“I was going, ‘Whats the problem we all have sex.’”

When asked if she has had sex in her Longford home, the model added: “Yes yes I have. Yeah, I would [discuss it afterwards].”

“The way I was brought up was you know what you can talk about anything. I didn’t have to filter anything growing up it was normal to me.”

With rumours rife all week about her and her partner Curtis Pritchard’s sexuality, the 28-year-old grid girl confirmed she is only into men but admitted she did enjoy one enjoy one drunken night with a girl in the past.

When asked if she would consider herself bisexual, she said: “I wouldn’t. I’m 100% into guys it was a drunken crazy night, a bit of fun.

“It wasn’t somebody from Longford it was a work friend.”

And she dismissed the speculation about Curtis’ sexuality, adding: “People’s opinions do not matter to us and we are very happy.”

Maura, who finished fourth in the reality show final in Majorca last month, added her former cast mate Bella Hassan was “talking s**t” when she said the ring girl was the most demanding in the villa.

Maura said: “They would have never heard me asking for cigs.

“If you want to go for a smoke, you stand at the front door and when they see you on the camera, they speak to you and say off you go.

“It’s not like you’re standing in the villa going I want a cigarette.

“They would have never seen me doing that. Belle is talking s**t.”

The controversial character was championed in the villa for paving the way for woman to talk more openly about sex.

Addressing the incident with Tom Walker, where he questioned “if she was all talk”, she said: “Just because a woman talks about sex, like I was never going to go into the Hideaway and sleep with him. I barely know the guy.

“And then him making that horrible comment and assumption was just out of order.” Maura was on a short visit home to Dublin for Bellamianta’s Luxury Tan Launch Party at Cafe En Seine, Dublin.

Before jetting back to the UK, she said: “I’m so happy to be home, it’s unbelievable. Especially to be back to Bellamianta, it’s my first event.

“Yeah I’m just so happy to be home.

And despite being signed for a role on This Morning in the UK, and hinting that she’d like to move in and marry Curtis in the future, Maura said her heart belongs in Ireland.

She said: “Before going into the villa, I had a dream job.

“I was travelling around the world, I never expected to come out and land a job with This Morning.
