Maura Higgins raging at fourth place and annoyed at Curtis, say Love Island fans

Love Island's Maura Higgins was 'raging' to hear that she and partner Curtis Pritchard had finished in fourth place, viewers have claimed.

It comes after the Irish grid girl's reaction was caught on camera as the public vote was announced during Monday's live final.

Fans of the show said Maura looked sour-faced when she and Curtis were revealed to be less popular than their co-stars.

Maura was seen looking sheepishly down at the ground while Curtis grinned away behind her.

Their exchanges were very different to those shared during the Love Island Summer Ball in clips aired earlier in the night.

Making his declaration of love to Maura, Curtis said: “Once upon a time, there was man on a journey. He had one goal in mind on his journey of crazy events. That goal, was to find a princess. This princess wasn’t just any princess, she was the most beautiful princess in all the land."

While Maura said of “Curtis. Here before you I stand a very different woman, to the one who walked in the villa seven weeks ago. I had to spend my first few weeks watching somebody else fall in love with you, when all I really wanted was it to be me you were dancing with"

She also described Dancing With The Stars professional Curtis as 'sexy' when they were asked to take part in a choreographed routine for the party.

After Maura and Curtis landed in fourth place, it was revealed that Ovie and India were in third place.

While in the end Amber and Greg beat favourites Molly Mae and Tommy to the winning title.
