Maura Higgins said she wants to give up social media when she has kids.
The Longford born Love Island star has amassed a huge following online after her stint on the show in 2019, with 3.3 million followers on Instagram alone.
But the model turned TV star said she’d consider living a more private life without social media in the future, admitting she’s not the biggest fan of life online outside of work.
“When I’m out for dinner with the girls or whatever, I’d rather just enjoy it than spend my time filming and all the rest.
“But then in another sense, I have to use it and it’s my job and everything else.
The 30-year-old Dancing on Ice star, who is currently dating Strictly star Giovanni Pernice, added: “I would consider giving it up in the near future; maybe when I have a family, and kids, I might like to delete it.”
Maura, who is set to debut her presenting skills on RTE’s new show Glow Up Ireland next month has become one of the nation’s biggest stars since catapulting to success on Love Island two years ago.
But as her own star status rises, the makeup enthusiast said she still looks up to other major stars worldwide - and told how she idolises singer and makeup boss Rihanna.
She told RTE Guide: “She just knows how to do it in my eyes. Everything she does is right. She looks fantastic, just everything about her really and she’s just very, very empowering.”
Maura also told how she’ll never forget being left starstruck by the Umbrella hitmaker as a teen, saying: “She had done a concert there [Dublin] and I did a meet and greet.
“I don’t know what age I was, I was pretty young at the time. I think I was 16 and I genuinely could not get one word out of my mouth when I met her.
“All I did was cry; I just cried straight into her face.
“And yeah, that was the ‘meet’.
“I would probably be the same now, because I love her so much.”
It comes as Maura sizzled in a brand new Ann Summers’ collection.
Promoting the new line, the brunette beauty stripped down in sexy ensembles and flaunted her dance moves to the sound of Benny Benassi’s ‘Satisfaction’.
