Maura Higgins on why pal Amber Gill will survive her split from Greg O'Shea

Love Island's Maura Higgins backed her "strong" pal Amber Gill following her split from Greg O'Shea.

The reality star said her friend will survive her break up after Greg ended the romance  over text message.

Their split came just five weeks after they won Love Island and the £50,000 cash prize together.

But straight-talking Maura says she's confident her mate will get through it.

Speaking at the TV Choice Awards, she said her friend needs none of the frank advice she now dishes out on This Morning.

She said: "You know what, Amber is such a strong girl.

"I don't think Amber needs much advice, she's very strong.

Amber confirmed on Loose Women that her relationship was ended over text, after she had asked Greg to make more effort.
